IMPORTANCE OF DETOXICATING

Detoxicate means to remove a harmful substance (such as a poison or toxin) or the effect of such form.It is to render (a harmful substance) harmless.Or to free (someone, such as a drug user or an alcoholic) from an intoxicating or an addictive substance in the body or from dependence on or addiction to such a substance. some of the things we eat are not completely digested into our body systems.now it is mandatory that we excrete the undigested food through our  feaces or sweat, in some cases not all of it comes out some still remains and becomes a toxic our body. It is very important for an individual to detoxicate at least once in 2 weeks. there are various methods one can use to detoxicate.

- The use of drugs such as Alomo bitters,Buprenorphine,Suboxone.all these drugs has to be prescribed by a medical practitioner.

- And the natural means which includes; drinking of bitter leaf water, drinking lemon extract mixed with ginger or taking morning seed or the extract from boiled morning leaf.this can be done without the consent of a medical practitioner because they are natural.

   When we detoxicate all the harmful materials in the body system are washed out therefore leaving us healthy.

RICE CAKE

Rice cake, popularly known as Masa or Waina, is a popular snack in most northern homes most especially the Muslims , they are usually prepared during the festive periods and  usually Consumed with vegetable soup and at times can be accompanied by ginger and onions... INGREDIENTS -2 cups of raw rice -2 tablespoons of cooked rice -half teaspoon of dry yeast -5 table spoon of  sugar -3 cups of water -1teaspoon of salt. BEANS CAKE

Known in the north as 'kose' , but popularly as, 'akara', bean cake is usually prepared in homes to be taken as breakfast alongside bread, agidi, custard or pap. Ingredients required: 1 cup of beans Seasoning Onions(optional) Groundnut oil Pepper 1teaspoon of salt Method of preparation: *Pick the beans to remove dirt and other unwanted items. Soak the beans in water for about 2hrs...(this is to make the beans soft and easier to remove the coat). *Wash the beans and ensure the coat has fully removed from each bean using a mortar and pestle to gently separate them.
